Eiderdown and European down comforters by Christian Fischbacher (Dorbena - Made in Switzerland) are as close to 100% down as you can get.

The down comes from the Mazuran section of Poland where geese produce a large, fine down cluster which is then subject to multiple washing and rinsing. The result is goose down that is pure and clean - good for the environnment and good for you!.

Down is a wonderful gift of nature that insures a deep and restorative sleep. Due to it's special consistency, white European goose down easily absorbs moisture and releases it into the environment.

In order for a comforter to be labelled "down" in the US, the amount of down may be only 75%. The more down there is in the mix, the fluffier and more expensive the comforter will be. Christian Fischbacher's European goose down comforters are as close to 100% down as possible (they contain only minute traces of feather and fill) - truly a luxury and extremely rare outside of Europe. In addition, Fischbacher goose down duvets and pillows are treated with Actigard which offers protection against mites, bacteria and mold.

The outer cover of this fine European down comforter is 100% Swiss cotton batiste which is a lightweight, yet strong fabric and has a graceful drape. Swiss Cotton batiste weighs 30% less than traditional luxury fabrics, so the result is a duvet that is super light, warm, and cozy.
